Heather Torres Earns GBA Designation

Poulsbo, WA:  Last month, Heather Torres completed the third course of a three-part series and successfully passed the certification exam, earning the designation of Group Benefits Associate (GBA). The designation is part of The Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Program, a joint program of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The School grants professional recognition to those individuals who have met prescribed educational standards and other requirements in the employee benefits field. Additionally, Torres completed the Brown & Brown University School of Service Leadership in June, held in Daytona Beach, Florida. Torres is an Employee Benefits Advisor with EHL Insurance and is licensed in Life & Disability in the state of Washington.

We currently have two full service agencies located in Poulsbo and Port Angeles. Scott Baker Joins EHL Insurance as Accounting Leader

Poulsbo, WA:  Scott Baker has joined EHL Insurance in Poulsbo as their new Accounting Leader. Scott is a graduate of Washington State University where he earned his BA in business administration. He brings with him a decade of experience in the fields of accounting, operations, and information technology management.

Prior to joining EHL, Scott spent 10 years at an independent financial planning firm in Seattle as an Operations/IT manager where he achieved his Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Securities Law) certification. His ability to implement new processes and help the firm leverage technology to achieve its objectives was a key component in the firm’s rapid growth over his tenure.

As an active member of the community, Scott is a baseball coach for the North Kitsap Little League as well as a coach and volunteer with the North Kitsap Soccer Club.
